What happens during my appointment?

Does micropigmentation hurt?

Most clients describe the sensation as a light scratching or mild discomfort rather than pain.

A numbing cream is applied before the treatment to keep you as comfortable as possible throughout the process. Sensitivity can vary depending on the area being treated and your individual tolerance, but overall the treatment is very manageable.

How long does micropigmentation last?

Results typically last between 18 months to 3 years, depending on a number of factors including:

Sun exposure
Skincare routine

Over time, the pigment will gradually fade, allowing for maintenance treatments to keep your results looking fresh.

What is the healing process like?

Healing usually takes around 14 days, although this can vary slightly from person to person.

During this time, the colour may appear darker initially before softening as the skin heals. Some light flaking or dryness is completely normal, and full aftercare instructions will be provided to help support the healing process.

Who is not suitable for permanent makeup/micropigmentation?

Semi-permanent makeup procedures cannot be performed on:

Persons under 18
Haemophiliacs
Persons who are pregnant or nursing
Persons with Hepatitis C
Persons 5 weeks pre or post Radiotherapy/Chemotherapy treatment unless medical consent is given
Epileptics who have experienced a seizure in the last 2 years
Persons taking Warfarin, unless medical consent is given
Persons using Antasuse and Roaccutane within 6 months of the treatment date
Herpes of the eye (ocular herpes) – Eyeliner treatment only

PATIENTS WILL NOT BE TREATED IF:

They have active cold sores or fever blisters or skin disorders in the area to be treated
They are under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Will my results look natural?

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes, a consultation is required before any micropigmentation treatment.

Is a patch test required?

Yes, patch testing is required prior to treatment to ensure there are no reactions to the products used.

This is carried out at least 24 hours before your appointment.
